"Creating the Ultimate Rabbit Treat Box: A Step-by-Step Guide"

Updated: Apr 4

It is the year of the rabbit and it is one of the NIBEVA's Chinese zodiac signs. The people born in the year of the rabbit are known to be thoughtful and kind. To celebrate this coming Chinese New Year 2023, NIBEVA created this rabbit treat box for elderly people in an aged care facility that celebrates the Chinese New Year every single year.

This can be great for kid parties as well. There are several things that you can put inside the box such as chocolates, candies, accessories, and many more. Giving some treats in style would certainly make them smile.

A vector image of the rabbit's face and butt was created using Adobe Illustrator in PNG format with transparent background. An SVG format of the rabbit box outline was also created using the same application. NIBEVA is giving out the PNG and SVG file that can be downloaded from this link. The files attached are meant to be shared for personal use and not for commercial use.

NIBEVA uses the Cricut app and machine, but for sure the files will be compatible with other SVG-supported apps and devices. There is an available option to print out the rabbit's face on the cardstock with 80 to 85 GSM or just cut the outline with CRICUT. You can personalize your design by adding other images, drawing faces or adding accessories.

When using a Cricut machine, upload the image file using Print and Cut settings. There is no need to remove the background anymore as the file is already transparent. Then upload the SVG file using Basic Cut settings in the CRICUT machine.

Once the files are added to the Cricut app in layers, it needs to be adjusted to match the outline with the rabbit face image. Note that the image needs to be flattened with a background layer to avoid cutting other shapes of the rabbit's image such as the eyes or cheeks. It's not going to be a smooth cut, so the rabbit must be slowly detached and then assembled. Before closing the box, make sure not to forget to put in the treats.

These rabbits treat boxes are cute and colourful decors for parties on easter and Chinese new year celebrations.
